The Oktoberfest takes place on a weekend in September, and as many as 25 000 visitors are expected annually. It is a festival with a difference. There is something for everyone and the whole family can come and enjoy the day. For those who love Oompah music, an oompah band s flown in from Germany for the Oktoberfest. South African music will be played in some of the other tents.

Culinary delights include traditional dishes such as Eisbein, Kassler, Sauerkraut, Bratwurst, Schaschlik ,hotdogs, hamburgers and more.

For those who don't feel like the hustle and bustle of the beer tents, the Mokkastube will offer a welcome retreat in the form of traditional German confectionary and aromatic coffees, as well as some light musical entertainment to soothe the soul.

The kids will not been forgotten, and there are numerous attractions to keep them busy. The Alley of Games includes a Gladiator obstacle course with jumping castles, puppet shows and lantern procession. For the older kids there are go-karts, climbing wall, merry-go-rounds and for the first time a Magic & Illusion Show. 

Other attractions include a hobby fair and car exhibition A must for both young and old is the fireworks display taking place at 20:00 on Saturday night. Entrance tickets will be available at the school and at Computicket.
