During evenings sit around african camp fire or play American pool that is situared next to the popular Mexican pub/bar. During the day you can relax next to the pool and make use of the bar facilities. We also have an equipped fitness gym for the health and fitness enthusiasts as well as a private sun deck overlooking the Magaliesberg mountain range. We have a private air-conditioned movie theatre for your enjoyment. For the reading enthusiasts, we have a study/libarary and a mexican hammock sitauted near the pool area where you can enjoy your reading.
Local Attractions:
Cullinan Diamond Mine (±20km) Hartbeespoort Dam (±30 min), where there are plenty of traditional kiosks and for the adrenalin seekers there is Hot-Air-Balooning and elephant rides. Pretoria has more than 10 golf courses and the world renowned Gary Player Golf Club at Sun City is ±1 hours drive away - Sun City is highly recommended to visitors. Game safari is a must for all tourists and the Pilansberg National Game Reserve is ±1 hour drive from Shankleys. where you have a great opportunity to view atleast 4 of the BIG 5. The Carousel Casino is ±20 minutes drive along the N1 Freeway. Shankleys is situated close to restaurants and the biggest flea market in Pretoria.
Getting There:
From OR Tambo International airport: Travel north on R21 to Pretoria (±40km) and get on to the N1, travel in a north directiion for ±15km and take the N4 to Rustenburg (not N4 to Witbank). You will approach a toll gate, keep left which will automatically take you onto the Dr Swanepoel/Doornpoort on ramp. At the T-junction turn left. At the stop sign turn right onto Airport road. Pass filling station (Caltex) and at stop street turn right onto Olienhoutboom Street, then right onto Wilger Road and left onto Vyeboom Road. The property is the second property on the right (Corner Vyeboom and Seringboom Road)
