Kay Cera guesthouse and Self Catering is situated in Dana Bay, a coastal town in the Garden route 7km from Mossel Bay. Bushbuck are sighted here regularly, and bird life is in abundance in this protected conservation area. Game parks, Golf courses, casino, health spas, restaurants and shopping malls are in close proximity. George airport is approximately a 30min drive from our Guesthouse. Dana Bay has two beautiful beaches, and is one of the many popular fishing spots in the area. Kay Cera is a family orientated guest house in the picturesque garden route, located close to beaches and hiking trails. Self-catering accommodation options are also available. Units contain fully equipped kitchens, en-suit bathrooms, each with private entrances, barbeque facilities and sea views. Origins of the name “Kay Cera”: The “Kay Cera” name was derived from the 1956 hit song “Que Sera Sera” performed by Doris Day in the Alfred Hitchcock movie “The man who knew too much”. “Que Sera Sera” translated from Spanish means “What ever will be, will be” the song has served as inspiration to Sue-Ze de Jager (the owner manager of Kay Cera) from an early age as a child. This motto of “what ever is destined to be, will be”, has become a way of life throughout the years. Sue-Ze has now “retired” to the Garden Route where she manages Kay Cera Guesthouse and Self-Catering. She still lives her life and operates Kay Cera by these same values. Kay Cera has become a sanctuary for travellers from all over the country and world seeking reflection or relaxation in the beautiful Garden Route for a few days, many leaving with a new outlook on life.
